Big Mahalo Nui  to everyone who came along to the inaugural HAMPTON COURT CHALLENGE and helped to make it such a fantastic day.

 

Here are some photos to remind you just how great it was.

 

With over 85 paddlers – 13 OC6 crews - we think it was the biggest outrigger event in the UK to date!  This certainly created some interesting challenges on the start of the Open and Women’s OC6 race!    The curry might have been hot – but the racing was even hotter!!    Clear blue skies, light winds and minimal flow created ideal conditions for fast times (despite the lack of waves!). 

 

 Some paddlers not content with the 12km OC6 race dived back in after lunch for the 6km small boat race which saw a variety of craft and paddlers vying for honours.     All in all, some great performances in all classes!
